It all began 6 years ago, when 2 people fell in love....

Tim and I met at the Mayan Restraunt. We started dating the end of November 2001 and were engaged just 2 short months later on February 1st. Tim took me on a scavenger hunt to propose. We had dinner at The Roof overlooking the Salt Lake Temple in the Joseph Smith Memorial building. When we were finished he took me back to his parents house for hot chocolate... or so I thought. There was a path of rose petals going down the staircase that led to a vase full of roses. That's where he asked me to marry him. He turned the vase around and on the ribbon was a diamond ring (he recorded the proposal, so it's fun to go back and watch.) Well of course I said YES! The entire night was so much fun, then 6 months later we were married. It would have been sooner, but because of different jobs we had to wait until then.

Tim and I were married for time and all eternity on August 23rd, 2002. It was the happiest day of my life! The entire day was perfect and we just had a great time. We had an open mic at our luncheon and people shared some funny stories that got us all laughing. Our reception was at my sisters house in Draper, and it was just really relaxing. I'm grateful for my mom and all of the hard work she put into to make my wedding day so special. It was a day that I will never forget.

About 2 years after we got married we were blessed with the birth of Makayla in April of 2004. I was so excited to be a stay at home mom, and start that next chapter of our life. She was such a great baby, she kind of gave us a warped sense of how most babies are. She had a smile on her little face all of the time, and such fun little attitude. We moved into a new home when she was just a month old, and then one more time when she was a year old. When she was just 6 weeks old we went with Tim's parents to Hawaii. It was such a fun trip and she did great the entire time. We also took Kaitlyn on a trip to Colorado when she was the same age. I think it's the best time to travel with kids.

In June of 2006 we welcomed Kaitlyn into our family (a house full of Women.... maybe we will get a boy on #3, who knows?). We had just moved into our new house in St. George the month before she was born, but with Tim having to travel to Salt Lake so much for business we moved just 4 months later. We lived with my mom for about 3 months until we bought our home in Alpine. We have been living in Alpine since 2006 and have no plans of leaving the area any time soon. We have really grown to love it here and have really loved our neighbors and especially our ward. It is probably one of the best ward we have lived in since we got married.

The time has gone by so fast, it seems like just yesturday we met and got married. Now here we are 6 years and 2 kids later. If someone would have told me 6 years ago that we would be where we are today, I don't think I would have believed them. I'm grateful for my girls in my life and for the things that they teach me everyday. I couldn't imagine my life without them. I'm grateful for Tim in my life and the things that he has taught me, it's amazing how much your love can grow. He's an amazing husband and father. I'm grateful for the challenges and trials that we have had to overcome in our life and I know that we wouldn't be where we are today without those growing experiences. I have had to learn in my life that the Lord's plan and my plan aren't always the same but I know he answers our prayers in his own time. I love the gospel and all that it teaches our family everyday, and how it reminds us of what's really important in life. I look forward to the next 6 years and what they will bring.
