4 couples in Maui + no kids = Lots of Fun!!!!!

We flew out last Wednesday to Maui with 3 other couples, who helped Tim coach 8th grade football this year. We stayed at the Grand Wailea Hotel, and it was gorgeous! We spent 7 days in Hawaii.
This is the view from the breakfast buffet, the hotel has these amazing pools and sits right on the beach.

We took a nice drive around the Island. We found this cool spot to take a hike, it was tucked back in this little valley. It was just so beautiful and green.

Then we decided to go check out this blowhole that we found on the map. The road was kind of crazy and only consisted of one lane for part of the time. We had to hike down a little ways to get close to the blowhole, but it was really fun to see. The boys found all of these huge crabs on the cliffs, so they were quite entertained by those as well.

On Sunday 4 of us took a helicopter ride around the Island. The scenery was so amazing from the air, and it was a great way to see the 7 sacred pools in Hana instead of driving on the road (which did not look like fun even from the air.) The Island had some many waterfalls to see. This was definitly one of the best highlights from our trip.

We spent many days in this pool..... It consisted of a rope swing, lazy river, 3 waterslides, 3 hot tubs. All spread out across a huge area, one of the slides took you down little slides and then into small pools all the way to the bottom ( so probably 4 small slides in all!)

We took a walk before dinner the last night there and got a sweet shot of the sunset!

On Monday morning we flew over to Honolulu to spend a day there. We went and saw Pearl Harbor, the Dole Pineapple Plantation, North Shore, and then the Temple. We then took off to the south end of the Island did a little shopping, grabbed some dinner and headed to the airport.

Here is a picture of the group of people who went with us. We had so much fun together and are glad that everyone could make the trip! We had a wonderful time and would love to go back in the future.

I want to go to Hawaii so bad! It seems like everyone is going - my in-laws, a friend of mine in Utah, you two.....when do I get to go?? Hmmm hopefully in 2009 :0) Glad you had fun- you deserve a good vacation before baby #3 arrives. When do you find out the sex?
