A fun week of Christmas parties.....

On the 29th it was my brother-in-law Brett's birthday, and so we met them up at the Temple to go and see the lights. It was a great night to go.... not too crowded or too cold. The lights were so pretty. I feel bad because my mom was with us but we never got a big group shot with everyone (sorry mom.) After we were done checking out the lights we went and got some dessert. I love spending time with family! I didn't take any photos, but for New Year's Eve we spent the evening with some of our neighbors and had a great time! I hope everyone had a great New Year's. I think 2009 is going to be a great year!!!

Since my mom was out of town for Christmas, helping my brother and his wife who just had a baby. We spent the 27th with her and Tom. It is also my nephew's birthday, and so we all went bowling and then came back to my moms to open up gifts. The girls LOVE playing with these cousins because they are so close in age. We had fun all hanging out at my moms together!

After we got all showered up it was off to my dad and Kathy's house for breakfast. Where the girls got to open a few more gifts. Kathy is a great artist and drew the pictures you see on the girls pillow cases by hand. I was pretty impressed! The girls thought that was so cool.

On Christmas morning we all woke up and opened presents as a family. The girls didn't wake up until 8:30, but Tim was so tired that they let him sleep until 9:00 before we started opening up any gifts. What nice kids to let their dad sleep in a little bit longer! The best thing of all for me was to wake up on Christmas morning and find it snowing! All I ever want is to wake up on Christmas and have a "white christmas," it just makes me feel more in the spirit. Kaitlyn was in love with her baby doll that she got from Santa, and Makayla was loving her Barbie doll.

Every year we spend Christmas Eve with Tim's family, and boy did the girls get spoiled! They were having so much fun with all of the cousins there and then they had a blast opening up all of their gifts. We appreciate all the hard work and shopping that went into the event. It was a fun night of singing, eating and enjoying everyones company!
